Chapter Twelve

This chapter seemed very melancholy (a gloomy state of mind, esp. when habitual or prolonged) to me.  Is there a certain line or two, or maybe a paragraph, that really affected the mood of the story for you?  Please share.

  1. I think it would probaly be when Mrs. DiAngelo made her own butterfly garden. I tought that was really sweet and nice that Brady helped make it because he really liked Ben. I also think that it was a really good part in the book to make the reader happy or enjoy the book even more.

  2. I think that it was when Brady and his mom were talking about mrs.Diangelo and how Brady heard her throwing up in the morning and her being deppressed kind of made you think that maybe she is pregnant and she is going to have another kid. That part really made me wonder if she is trying to have another kid to replace Ben.

  3. I don't think she could be trying to have another kid to replace Ben. He's only been dead a few days, and her husband has been away. Also, those symptoms of pregnancy take several weeks to show up. If she is pregnant, it seems as though she would have conceived before Ben's death.

  4. I didn't have a favorite part but i think there is a lot of points where i just thought of how nice Brady was being to Mrs.DiAngelo. I thought Brady is also moving forward from what happened but i think Mrs.D is holding on to it. Do you guys think we will hear anything from Mr.D though?

  5. Your probably right Mr.B. I didn't really think about the timing of how short of a time it was.

  6. I agree with Taddei also just when Brady was at mrs. Diangelos house and they were talking about Ben and stuff it was a little sad and depressing.
