Chapter Twelve

From what you read and interpreted in the last few chapters, through and including this one, what evidence do you have that this railroad will be built no matter the risk or cost to the land and people?

  1. I think that the people are very determined to build this railroad even at the risk of dying becase the westerns are not going to let this one go.

  3. I think that the westerners don't care to much about the chinese and are willing to sacrifice them to build the railroad and that they need to build this railroad so they can get to the western and eastern side of the united states so nothing is going to stop them because they need this railroad.

  5. Some of the evidence came from his father because the book kept on saying how otter saw the fear in his eyes that he probaly wasn't gonna make it.The rest of it came from curly and how he kept on laughing because otter wasn't strong enough to get the job done.

  6. The westerners see themselves as supeior to the chinese so the westerners just want the labor done so they are willing to sacrifice the chinese bacause they just really want this railroad to be done.
