Chapter Thirteen

Was is right for the men in Otter's shack to strip and bathe him?  Why did his father and Uncle Foxfire allow this to happen?

  1. I think that the people in the shack had to do that for there own good so they didn't get sick or infected so they had the right. They let this happen because they had no right to stop them because they didn't want to get infected or get ill so his father and uncle didn't want to stop them because everybody has to bathe.

  2. I agree with matt that if he doesn't bathe people can get infected. And if someone gets infected they could get a risk of dying because they are in the cold and they're sick.

  3. Great points, Matt and Kassie. So do you think that Otter's humiliation was less important than the the need for him to be bathed?

  4. Ya, because you can get over the humiliation but if you get sick where they are you could have the risk of dying.

  5. i think this is ok to do by means of the conditions they are working in.I think otter's father and uncle didn't do anything to stop this because everyone has to be bathed and if this is the way it has to be done then it's allright

  6. I agree with matt. It was for Otters own good and Foxfire and father had no right to stop the because they could have all got sick and die.

  7. Well i think the idea of keeping clean is good but striping someone to get them clean is a little over the top they could do it themselves. I think Foxfire and Father should have saved Otter i mean he was being physically abused.

  8. I think that it is less important than taking the risk of getting sick because they need to stay healthy so they can do there work. Zeus the people were not really abusing him physically either
